Lata Berembun, Jerantut, Pahang.

Five years of being abused physically and mentally in architecture school, it occurred to me that rewarding meself with something that had been long stayed in my wish list will definitely do justice to myself.

Somehow, I yearned to be there way before the Berkelah's trip lagi but circumstances always crossed our way sampai laa 9 October. It was last minute plan tapi you know me laa kan, kalo dah gua kata gua nak pi, under any circumstances pon it has to be happened jugak, but well of course it wasn't that easy, I was absolutely prepare for any others casual things.

So, the night before October ninth around 11 pm, we hit the road to Jerantut, Pahang via Kuala Lumpur - Gua Musang road, or to be exact to the village called Damak. We arrived there at the Masjid Damak around 3-ish am. Luck is on our side, the mosque wasn't close, so we slept in the mosque without worrying about bergolek golek macam badak berendam dengan group lain. Nope okay.

Kampung Damak, Jerantut. Small population but wasn't that bad except for coverage laa, my phone tak dapat line langsung. I wonder if they have this specific line for coverage macam 'only Maxis works here'. But, the air is as fresh as it's never been inhaled by anything.

Woke up that morning, settled all the ration and breakfast, we hopped on 4WD, we used Jerantruck's help to get us there. Took us 45-ish minutes to arrived at the Lata Berembun. The 4WD I tell ya, was definitely crazy ride! The road, ohh it shouldn't be called road, it was whole new other level of road for me. Normal cars memang takkan mampu lepas Lubuk Hang Tuah pon.

I swear to god, I wasn't lie, the car went up 60° for a few times, I was reciting all the thing I could recalled for that, and there's time when it was slightly nak terbalik. That wasn't just thrill, it was crazy!

View along the way to Lata Berembun. Can't get enough of this view. Excuse the unsharpness of this picture, it'll explain the road condition to you.

Then, the 4WD dropped us right at the dead end of the road where we needed to cross the river and started trekking for 3 minutes and there it is the magnificent Lata Berembun.

One of the way where your shoes just soaked and wet and uncomfortable and berlecak. Need to remind meself to just wear flipper next time, won't be so annoyed nanti.

Tak faham kenapa kena menyibuk selfie orang. Like dude why? Did anyone ever taught you about the catch 'tepi sikit'?

Mostly, laluan dia need you to have strong sense of self balance, or else you'll get wet before its time to.

It's absolutely MasyaAllah, sumptuous, exquisite, splendid. I have nothing to compare with this one and no words to describe it. Sumpah awesome. I heard a lot bout this one, and I can tell ya, those rumours were so underrated about this one. You know of the saying 'you have to be there, baru kau boleh rasa apa aku rasa', Haa cenggitu. Gua almost nak nangis, memula laid my eyes on this view, cantik as f!

We were also lucky to have that place for ourselves. No one was there except us maybe it was all about that moonson season things or the access to this place.

And! This waterfall, I can tell you, it's not that camping friendly. The campsite is actually tak besar pon, they have two. Satu, at the exact place where 4WD drop kau, and it's absolutely takde pokok kat tengah tu, open space, so don't even think about pacak fly kau, boleh simpan balik masuk bag karrimor kau! Another one, just after you cross the river, there's campsite yang berbumbungkan pokok, tapi uneven earth there, and can fit up to according to my observation maybe 2 tent and one fly. It wasn't that spacious pon. Ceh bajet bajet pro je Ain ni, pang kang!

The one and only, Lata Berembun, Jerantut.

Tak paham kenapa kena nak cari siput sedut dekat sini, and waktu ini. Like semua orang was so ready for group photo and you're the only one yang tetiba nak stumbled down pulak. Sumpah tak paham dengan diri sendiri.

If you noticed the fly, it's dipacakkan atas batu with so minimum space for bags only because time tu nak hujan. It was the last option we had, because other places semua inconvenience either berbatu or pacak 15°. Cehh pepandai aku je bagi degree tanah dia.

This one bawah sikit, 15 saat je jalan dari kolam atas, fit for mandi mandi jugak, not as big as atas pon. Tapi boleh laa dari takde.

So we just gedebush in the water, had fun, swimming, fooling around, taking picture. And the waterfall itself is actually located in the secluded area, where you need to swim to the cliff and climb that to reach there. It's kind of sweet danger sebab dia macam difficult and slippery but I can guarantee you 300%, it's all worth because the view, the waterfall, the sound are all splendid and in perfect harmony, you wouldn't get it elsewhere.

And the rocks are quite slippery and mossy tambah tambah dekat waterfall tu, I guess it was because tak ramai yang pi situ kot. And Ani and Ben almost in red zone when diorang terjatuh dekat the hatchway to the waterfall tu.

Batu batu cinta yang licin dan kalau kau terjatuh, sakit dia perit sikit je dari sakit kena tinggal. Haa cenggitu.

And we also lucky Abang Jerantruck tu bawak us pi Lubuk Hang Tuah. Located before Lata Berembun, around 15-ish minutes from here to Lata Berembun. If you're heading to Lata Berembun and you have this pair of quite sharp eyes, you'll notice the simpang is actually geton your right.

This one wasn't bad either, it reminds me of Jerangkang at the first level, quite similar in their pool. If you're a cautious one, this kolam lagi safer kot because the fall pon wasn't that callous. And it has generous space of campsite for I guess up to 40 pax, and cover by a lot of trees unlike at the Lata Berembun one laa.

Btw, gua excited because for the first time in my 23 hidup ni, gua dapat tengok how they channeling the water supply. Kalo nak tahu datang laa sini, saje je gua letak gambar ni, kalo gua 1cm kan kamera ke kanan, you'll absolutely can find out. Excited dia macam memula kau nampak zirafah dekat zoo after bertahun kau tengok dekat TV and buku kamus bergambar.

I crossed this one out of my wishlist with satisfaction smile. I always have a thing for waterfall, and Lata Berembun, everything about it's so perfect. This sensational waterfall is absolutely something that close to my heart, and i'll be coming back for camping okay!

Jerangkang Waterfall

So, last semester break which is 190316, and it was literally 5 months ago actually but whatever, who cares, I just felt the need to blog it like just now, *eyes roll*, we decided to take another waterfall, after all the sorting and weighting, skippin from blog to blog and after all the gaduh bertumbuk tinju semua, like kau nak pergi lata berembun, aku nak jerangkang, sekor lagi nak bukit tabur, like babe, tabur dont even have a waterfall, get a sense fellese! And finally we chose *dummm dummm dummm* *drum rolls* it's Jerangkang Waterfalls babe. So, we've come to a voice for it to be two days one night camping kinda trip.

So kitorang bertolak from gombak malam before 19 tu, and basically around 3 we sampai Maran and this time, we chose to sleep at another nearby mosque. Gila nak bergolek golek macam badak berendam lagi kat masjid dulu, mau sikit hari lagi semua kena panah petir. Gua tak sanggup. So pagi tu baru gerak masuk Jerangkang.

Basically it just so happened to be near the Berkelah waterfall. But, this one, kena pergi deeper into the woods with 4 wheels drive which is highly recommended laa, about 30 to 45 minutes, but we chose to venture in with our own cars. Sumpah jalan dia macam kau naik kuda yang terseliuh kaki tapi masih sombong lari laju speed kuda, haa cenggitu perumpaan dia. But, the dark sides dia is you might find some scratches afterwards, tapi if it were my own decision, venture in with 4WD will be lagi thriller and fun babe.

We arrived at the first campsite around 10 a.m and yeah, we're definitely Malay's breed and what do you expect kalau dah melayu makan belacan tu, what's Malay without 'late' kan so we think we skip that campsite because it's already full pon and find another spot. So we hiked about 5 minutes and tranggg, we've arrived there, at our campsite.

Sebelum naik, kitorang agih agihkan ration dulu, kau ingat lelaki lelaki tu gentleman, tidak sama sekali okay, dia bagi je kau bawak segala jenis sos, beras, Maggi, kopi, air badak, gula, senang cakap segala laa, tapi yang penting kau baca laa Doa dulu kit, tiup tiup kit, baca laa Doa Doa yang kau pernah belajar waktu tadika dulu buat segala jenis jin takut sikit. Ni tak kau dengan jin pon dah takde beza. Ehh motip emo Ain!

Okay gua nak bagi tips ni, kalo nak tahu awek tu single ke tak, boleh rujuk gambar atas, kalo gaya cenggini peluk kemas jaket keselamatan cenggitu, aa single laa tu. Kenapa? Sebab jaket tu dah macam kau bawak boyfriend laa, nyawa kau kat tangan dia. Acamtoh.

Basically, track dia cenggini je takde laa mencabar macam Berkelah, TAPI, nampak tak tapi besar tu, tapi track dia sumpah lagi penat.
And guess what it!! Yeah, shouting diperlukan here because our campsite was next to waterfall, sumpah by next I mean literally sebelah je yang air terpercik percik masuk khemah, yang bangun pagi tu banjir. The definition of perfect. The view I tell ya, was so awesome! Magnificent! It's like a painting, perfect painting, drawn by Our Perfect Creator. And I was so speechless when I first laid my eyes on it, mesmerized by its ambience, couldn't even find a perfect word to describe it, its beauty is undescribably, just so MasyaAllah, and I thought, so ni laa the great legendary Jerangkang tu, it is definitely great! Awesome! If awesome and magnificent were a place, it would be Jerangkang Waterfall.

So, as usual laa, the boys set up the camps while the girls was having fun in the water. Trust me when I used the word 'fun', we were literally 24/7 in the water having fun macam orang gila, *eyes roll lagi. Air dia sejuk level kau mandi waktu pagi pagi time kau darjah satu dulu, yang kau menangis taknak mandi tiap kali mandi tapi kau terpaksa mandi jugak sebab takut mak kau panggil ayah kau suruh mandi kan.

The serenity and magnificient ambience that we woke up to. If I had a wish that will be promised to be granted, it will be waking up to this everyday for the rest of my whole life. And I'll be satisfied with my whole life, there's nothing more i'll ask for.

Air dia hijau jugak babe! Mana kau nak dapat packages cenggini, lima minit hiking dapat view bloody power and air sejuk, Jerangkang je babe! Cehh, kau ingat ni iklan tahun melawat malaysia nak promote promote jerangkang.

Gua mintak khemah facing waterfall, tapi ni kan UIA babe, what do you expet, dia buat facing macam tu, katanya untuk privacy. Tapi gua tak paham konsep privacy bila camping ni, macam kalo nak privacy pasang laa khemah dalam bilik. Kan. Okay yang air terpercik percik masuk khemah tu gua tipu, kau ingat kalo dah air terpercik percik boleh nak tidur, esok elok je orang jumpa kau mati lemas.
So petang tu, around 3 P.M kitorang naik to the peak. Basically, satu je comment gua pasal track dia, penat nak mamposs! Like whattt! Is this for real! Damn it, Berkelah was far better. Sumpah tak tipu, turun naik, turun naik, sumpah gua separuh mati yang gua tarik balik segala kutukan, sumpah seranah, caci maki dan sebagainya masa naik Berkelah dulu.

Okay finally gua beli jugak kasut Adidas power ni dekat kedai Ah Seng tu. Sumpah power kasut ni, sampai gua rasa macam level gua hiking dah setanding mamat seluar bunga bunga tu. Cenggitu berlagak namatey kau.
Ni view yang akan kau dapat bila kau hiking naik sikit dalam 10 minit.  Sumpah cantik tak tipu demi Allah. Acamtoh, nak cakap cantiknya dia.

Gua tak tahu apa si Paan tu cuba buat kat gua, yang gua kisah asal gambar gua cantik. Tapi kau rasa tengok lighting tu cantik ke. Nangesss.
Akak baju merah tu memang dak dak wechat ravers tegar. Semua pose dia ravers teruk.
Ni level last dia, Masyallah cantik gila. Hamdolellah sis mampu tengok semua ni, air dia pon tak dalam and gua boleh berenang sambil tak pikir agak agak bila ikan gergasi nak timbul. BTW, gua gigih gila panjat air terjun tu lepastu terjun siap flip lagi tau tapi well, I brought along the best team, sorang pon takde nak kisah sempat ambik gambar gua terjun ke tak. Like babe, tu terjunan berani mati gua selama 23 tahun babe, nanges tepi air terjun dapat kawan cenggitu. waaaa!
Cantikkan babe! Nanges perfect gila scenery dia macam dalam lukisan van Gough. Aku pon tak tahu bila si van Gough tu buat lukisan cenggini. Rasanya lukisan dia macam takde tone ni sangat.

Ni nama dia Jerangkang's infinity pool. Sumpah power yang ni. Ni yang among others tempat yang kau terpaling akan rindu. Sumpah. Gua mampu ambik gambar duduk je, belom cukup jantan nak berdiri, nak pergi hujung tu pon gua merangkak, kau rasa mampu ke. Tapi dekat sini punya sunset sumpah cantik nak namatey yang kau tak pakai kamera iPhone pon gambar dia outcome lawa level Anzalna Nasir.

Ada monyet kat sini, so suggestion gua kau bawak laa pisang sikit, kesian dia.
Nampak power kan boleh berdiri, tak pakai life jacket pulak tu, tapi sebenarnya kaki gua dah lemah level extereme infinity. Mahu tak lemah gigil  babe, air dia hijau kot babe, kau ada dua pilihan je, kalau kau jatuh dalam air, kau terkapai kapai, mati lemas, kalau kau jatuh depan sikit, haa tergolek laa kau jatuh bawah air terjun 15 meters. Dua dua possibilities Innalillah dia 120%. Tapi view dia sumpah power menangis tepi bucu rindu.

Talking about the night ambience pulak, was exquisite i tell yay, with the stars randomly covered the sky, and the moon ignited the ambience, the crickets sang it song nya and yeah I fall in love suddenly. I was amazed, sumpah, beautifully design with peace. MasyaAllah.

Ni je mampu babe, what do you expect dengan camera vivo gua ni, memang tak mampu laa dia nak ambik gambar macam si Rangga tu. Hmm baling vivo keluar tingkap.

Camping wasn't as bad as i might think of. I had this thought which is can I even survived that. But I tell yay what, it was far better that. Its nothing like ive ever imagined. Better than everything. Camping is awesome! I have so much fun camping, it was extremely workable method for bonding and achieving inner calmness. But, I realized, 2D1N wasn't even enough, i need it to be forever. Jerangkang is so awesome I tell ya, exquisite place, magnificent. That one place that I will always be coming back.

Acah acah sikit, bagi ahh can. Bukan selalu. Kenapa banyak gambar aku sensorang, sebab ni belog aku.

Came Across a Dramatic Situation

"People don't just behave in such a way because that's who they are but there's always something that keep them that way."
Yes, I'm quoting myself there. Tapi why eh? You know I had came across a dramatic situation recently where 'how good I am in walking my own talks' was being tested. And gladly I said, I failed terribly!

Which is why I'm quoting myself there. Just incase me which is Nor 'cold-hearted' Ain Elias needed a cold hard slap at my face to be reminded of your talk should be along with your walk! Rather than asking 'why' I just left with my 'screwed you' attitudes and 'not even bother myself with your bullshits anymore' attitudes.

I do feel bad, but I don't know, because I wasn't involved too deep in that situation so rather than staying and listening to explanation which is I am so sure of myself that I'm not gonna trust any of it anymore. So I think I just pass on that one.

But instead of blaming this person 200%, part of me also wondering bout the 'why' he was behaving that way. And if one thing I know, I'm not mad anymore, I actually think I've already forgiven him. All that left now is I'm curious but I don't  bother to even know the answer.

Gunung Suku, Simpang Pulai, Perak

It was a callous week, where all the stress, anxiety and pressure pervaded my sanity. It was one of the week where I was slowly dripping to the ground. Where living is all about surviving, architecture consumed the best of me.

So, I took a huge leap of faith, I thought, 'this is it, I couldn't let this perpetually happen, I shouldn't be drawn into my sorrow'. It was right at the moment when Awus invited me to join the trip, without even thinking further and deeper, I said 'bravely' count me in, with all the submission and the incoming dateline was tailing behind me, but, I am just that crazy.

But I thought, why not, lets get this self into the woods. After all this is all that I need. Out of everyone that I know and try to achieve some peace, way from architecture. I was comforting myself that I really need this trip.

And, I know of how these past 23 years, I've been so comfortable in this zone that I've created, so here I am, getting out of my comfort zone. At first, everything was so awkward, starting from when I stepped my foot into Along's car. But , slowly, the phase changed, and it was thanks to Along, Adib and Meera for being so friendly and trying to make me feels comfortable and it was all becoming okay.

But yeah, it was my first time, what do you expect. It took me forever to reach at the peak. I don't think I'll ever make it without Awus standing strong having my back though he's been so annoying. He's been mentally psyched me till I was so annoyed with him and the obvious part was, I was showing my annoyed face all the way up. But, I'll forever be in debt with him, If it wasn't for him, I'll be giving up ten minutes after we went up. He's been pushing me beyond my limits, till I was like, Omaigod, I can actually do that.

So, here I am at the peak of Mountain Suku, 1979 meter above the sea. It took me 3 hours plus minus to ascend and 1 hour plus minus to descend. The track I tell yay, it's 70° steep from the beginning. Don't even try if you're beginner, you'll definitely regret. Scaled this mountain wasn't that easy if you're wearing a pair of useless sportshoes, not even recommended. Plus, bring a lot of water, the only water point it has, had no water.

We planned to catch the sunrise but due to some circumstances, we didn't even manage to catch so much time for sightseeing because the fog is so real. But upon succeeded at the peak, I manage to treat myself with exquisite view of titiwangsa range, where we could see some others mountain like Korbu, Irau and Chabang. If I not mistaken laa, that's what I recalled of what Awus fed us. But the view was worth all those sweat and pain. You know that feeling of seeing something you've been known from your textbook only but now it's all right in front of your eyes, magnificent.

This whole trip was quite surprising for me, I learned a lot, not just about others but mostly about myself. How I figured out that, the me that I was or I am wasn't that mentally strong, most of the time, my mental would drag me to give it up before I even reached my bottom line. It was me, how I learn that it's all about your mental, your brain, you just have to conquer it. And to have Awus pushing me beyond my limit was something that I thought how can someone just be this strong, we hike the same mountain and he even have to bare the pressure of me cursed him out loud but not even a tiny of energy drained from him.

And there's a saying "It is not the mountain that we conquer but ourselves". I said, couldn't be agreed more. I really learned alot.
